Last 20th March, INSEE Vietnam cooperated with local government to organize the Inauguration Ceremony of Rural Road No. 16, 17, 18, at Thanh A Hamlet, Tan Phong Commune, Thanh Phu District, Ben Tre Province. As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, this project is built with High Sulfate Resistance Cement INSEE Extra Durable sponsored by INSEE Vietnam through the project "Bring Fresh Water to Mekong Delta" launched by Tuoi Tre Newspaper to contribute to mitigating the impact of drought and salinization.

The rural road No. 16, 17 and 18 in Thanh A hamlet has a length of 420m, with more than 60 households circulating, including 05 poor households, 05 near-poor households with 120 millions VND funding from local people as well as 1,000 bags of INSEE Extra Durable sponsored by INSEE Vietnam. This is one of five selected projects which were supported by  INSEE Extra Durable - The high sulfate resistant cement which has been specifically researched and developed by INSEE for saline intrusion environments. This is a type of sulfate resistant cement that helps to prevent the penetration of aggressive agents such as groundwater, acids, alkalis, ... which causes corrosion of steel reinforcement and affects the quality of concrete and the sustainability of the work. Its quality has been verified by large projects such as Cai Mep – Thi Vai International Terminal, Long Son Petrochemical Complex, Bac Lieu Offshore Wind Farm ...

In addition, in 2020, the saline intrusion in the Mekong Delta is at a severe level therefore INSEE Vietnam coordinated with Tuoi Tre Newspapers to implement the project "Bring freshwater to Mekong Delta". Specifically, INSEE sponsored VND 500 million to buy water purifiers and water tanks to help people in Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Ca Mau, Long An, and Kien Giang provinces. Besides, INSEE Vietnam also sponsored 500 tons of INSEE Extra Durable cement to support anti-saline constructions or houses in drought-impacted areas. Particularly in Ben Tre province, INSEE has donated 163 tons of INSEE Extra Durable to help to build 05 rural roads in Mo Cay Bac, Giong Trom, Thanh Phu, ...
